Varsity Women Winter Training

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Women’s Varsity squad refuses to be set back by a four-week winter break. The team returned to campus in January in stellar shape with satisfactory fitness levels. Many team members maintained what they worked so hard for in the first Welcome Back 2k Test. In the upcoming weeks, the Women’s Varsity squad aims to hit the ground running with intensive indoor training. With spring break only a few weeks away, the team will push their limits indoors so that they can reach their goals on the water.

This year the team competes in the Southern Intercollegiate Rowing Association (SIRA) Regatta, the Dad Vail Regatta and the Henley Women’s Regatta. With the depth that the team has this year, the Women’s Varsity squad hopes to push a lot of boats into the Grand Finals. For now, with their goals in mind, the team continues to prepare as best they can by running long miles, lifting heavy weights and pulling countless meters.
