The Purdue Crew Boathouse
500 Brown Street
West Lafayette, IN 47906
Here at Purdue University, we are graced with many wonderful facilities for training, boat storage, and gatherings. Our Crew Team boasts one of the newer facilities on campus and we benefit from its use every day. With a convenient location right on the beautiful Wabash River, our teams can easily get to and from practice, and can train in an area that is clean and productive for high level collegiate rowing. As well as our latest Boathouse, our team also owns property further into West Lafayette that is located by Fort Ouiatenon. We use that area as a training facility for our Novice Rowers and it is a great beginning area for up and coming rowers to train.
The Purdue Crew is extremely thankful to all who contributed to building the new boathouse. This is a front view of the new facility, which is located on the Wabash River next to the pedestrian bridge into Lafayette.
New Big 10 Flags are hung to decorate our very spacious erg room.
Our boathouse sports a very lovely foyer with a vast seating arrangement for both visitors and rowers alike. Plaques and awards are on display here, including trophies from past regattas, regatta memorabilia, and individual team awards.
In the heart of our boathouse we have our magnificent boat bays in which each individual squad on the team has a specific boat bay with the boats that they use on a daily basis. The sign pictured above is the sign from the original Purdue Crew boathouse started in the 1950s.

The five bays open out the back to a patio where the crew can wash boats and prepare them for trailer loading.
In the upper level of the boathouse we have a weight room with a variety of lifting equipment including squat racks, dumbbells, lat pull down machines, box jumps, exercise balls, and many more.
